Elementary Prevention supports the emotional wellbeing, connection, and resilience of children through developmentally responsive suicide prevention and mental health resources designed specifically for elementary communities. In partnership with educators, counselors, and prevention leaders across Oregon, these resources help schools and youth serving organizations strengthen protective factors, build coping and help seeking skills, and foster a culture of belonging and support for all students.
This page includes both Tier I and Tier II resources for elementary settings, including classroom based prevention tools, small group supports, implementation guidance, and professional learning opportunities. Resources are designed to be practical, accessible, and aligned with the unique developmental needs of upper elementary students.
